Title: long delay displaying free space

Hi Mark,
  When I run the test application, and do a DIR , I get the listing but it takes about 10 seconds to display the bytes free.
   If I use a 1GB card it returns straight away, it happens with the 2GB cards.

It sounds as though the info block is missing on the one type of card and so the whole FAT needs to be scanned.
Try the "info" command to see the information about the info block.

Reformatting the card should correct it. Maybe saving data on it from a PC will automatically correct it (?), or running a defrag program on it (?)
