Hi All
Keil is now offering a version of its development tool chain specifically, and restricted, to Freescale processors (that means also for the Kinetis).
You will have to decide yourselves whether it is a good offer or not but these seem to be the details:
- it is a lot cheaper than the complete development suite for ARM (guide price aound $5'500 - depends on exchange rate and region of the world)
- it is also cheaper than the 256k limited version (guide price aound $2'500 - depends on exchange rate and region of the world)
- it is node locked and costs around $750 (guide price - depends on exchange rate and region of the world)
- it it however only valid for one year, which seems to mean that it can not be used after this period has expired
