utFAT / Re: Files saved on SD card dont show on PC
« on: September 22, 2015, 04:59:06 PM »
Hi Mark,
I have ran my application now for several hours, and able to collect the data on the SD card, I can download the data at any point (I connect through tcp and download the data), the application opens the files and sends the data. I still cant see the data on a PC, when I run the test utasker  application and do a dir I get no files , and when I look at the info I get the following below.

If I restart my application , I can see the files (I have debug code) being opened during initialization of  the system, and when it downloads the data, I can see the files being opened, and data sent (which is correct info).

I have removed the sd card, and copied it now (attached), this time i know its teh same card :)

Following from dir and info:

Hi Mark,
Hmmmm..  I think I must have copied the wrong card. When in operation, our board saves the data , and various setup for the board on the SD .  The board then sends the data that was saved to our server, so we know the data is saved. I took out the card and simply done opened it up on Windows. One of our customers done the same with their board. We have quite a few SD cards about, so it could have well been the wrong card. Is it okay if I (I will make sure this time it is the correct card) send another file?  Im on vacation at the moment, so will do it when I get back .

Best Regards
Neil

utFAT / Files saved on SD card dont show on PC
« on: August 24, 2015, 01:12:47 PM »
Hi Mark,
I am using the latest version of the SD source, v2.01 with changes to some SD cards where they didn't format.    These cards are formatted as FAT32, and the files are created and read ok when connected to the processor. When I remove the card and place in the PC , it says the card is empty. The properties shows that 1.5MB has been used, but now files are displayed.

NXPTM M522XX, KINETIS and i.MX RT / Re: Ethernet ID
« on: June 26, 2015, 02:19:39 PM »
Hi Mark,
Thanks for that.  I assumed that utasker held the name someplace in the source code, and it was just a matter of changing it. So its not possible to change this?

Hi Mark,
I cant remember where to find the following..  :'(  When the processor is powered up with ethernet connected , and I use wireshark or a ip scanner , it gives a name associated with the mac address (comes under heading 'Source' in wireshark). Where can I change this?

Thanks

« on: April 01, 2015, 11:15:48 PM »
Hi Mark
unfortunately my customer is in Australia so it might be a while till I get the card.

Regarding what type of sd micro card they can purchase (not the brand , but just types) along with max capacity , what are the different types that are comparable with uFat (spi)?  I see there are many different types out there

utFAT / Type of micro SD cards
« on: April 01, 2015, 12:03:30 PM »
Hi Mark,
We are using micro SD cards with our system, and works well. We have a client that purchased 3 8GB Sandisk HC1 (I attached a snapshot of it) cards.  When they format them in windows is says approx 8GB, but when they put it in the board it says 4GB approx .  Sometimes (cant remember if straight format from windows, or after the board does a format) it doesnt read the card correctly, it says 0GB.

I know version 2 of the cards are required , but when a client asks what type of micro SD card (HC etc), and max capacity, what is the best thing to tell them?

Hi Mark,
Just to let you know, I have tried a card here and works well. I will now try the rest of the bunch, but don't think there will be any problems.

Thanks again for your help

Hi Mark,
That's good news, glad its all working.  Just keep or throw away the card I wont need it, as I will now use the cards that weren't formatting.

Thanks again.

Hi Mark,
Thanks very much for sorting this issue, I will update my code when I am back in the office on Monday. Are you planning to update the mass_storage.c file and place on your download page? If so I can simply download the whole lot, saving me modifying your code (in case I update the wrong part of your code)

Many Thanks again
