Kitronix (KENTEC ELECTRONICS) 3.5" TFT color display (320 x 240 pixel) with touch screen - FS-K350QVG-V2-F

This color TFT is manufactured by Kitronix (Dong guan) Ltd. [now known as KENTEC ELECTRONICS] and is used in the Luminary Micro (Texas Instruments) IDM-L35 demonstration kit Stellaris 3.5-inch Landscape Intelligent Display Module RDK.

The display has an integrated graphics controller (SSD2119 or equivalent) making it easy to control from most general purpose microcontrollers via 8, 16 or 18 bit parallel port or SPI interfaces.
It has an operating temperature range from -20C to +70C and a typical luminance of 270cd/m2 when driven by 20mA (typically 19V DC).
The resistive touch screen allows simple control by using two A/D inputs from the microcontroller and is suitable for touch inputs (like key pads with finger tip touch sensing) or drawing applications using an input pen.

Each TFT is new and unused. They are packed in trays of 6 pieces (but can also be delivered as single units) as shown in figure 4 below and there is a protection foil on the front of the LCD to avoid scratches and dust - this is usually removed once the TFT is used in its final assembly. They are RoHS conform. Weight about 40g each.

To make starting work with these displays easier, also suitable connectors are stocked. These are 60 pin ZIF (zero insertion force) types with top connection, equivalent to the ones used on the Luminary Micro demonstration kit board.
Figure 5 below shows these connectors and their packing, which can be ordered in small quantities to go with the TFT displays.
